DAY 1: ATHENS
After arriving at Athens Airport you will be transferred to the hotel. You are now in the capital of modern Greece, a city that has existed since the Neolithic age and which has over the generations had numerous conquerors erect unique and splendid monuments creating one of the most historically fascinating cities in the world. What remains of the day will be at your leisure.
DAY 2: ATHENS
Today’s morning tour will give you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Start the tour with a short stop at the Panthenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. Pass by the former Royal Palace now serving as the Prime Minister’s Residence. See the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier. View the Academy, the University, National Library and Constitution Square (Syntagma Square). Visit the Acropolis and the amazing architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and the world famous Parthenon. The final stop on this tour will be a visit to the New Acropolis Museum, one of the most important archaeological museums in Athens and home to many historic statues.
In the afternoon you will take part on a complimentary tour to Cape Sounion: Drive along the coastal road, past the wonderful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, and Varkiza, to the southernmost point of Attica, Cape Sounion, where you will see the white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon. On the way, you will have splendid views of the Saronic Gulf and the islands offshore. After visiting the Temple of Poseidon there will be some time for you to take a walk at the rocky promontory of Sounion, before returning to Athens.

DAY 3: ATHENS – CORINTH CANAL – EPIDAURUS – NAUPLION – MYCENAE – OLYMPIA
After breakfast, you will depart from Athens and travel along the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short photo-stop). Continue to the famous theatre at Epidaurus. Drive to Nafplio, making a short stop in this picturesque town, before continuing to Mycenae where you will visit the archaeological site and the tomb of Agamemnon. Thereafter the tour will continue through the central Peloponnese region and the towns of Tripoli and Megalopolis, before arriving in Olympia – the cradle of the Olympic Games.

DAY 4: OLYMPIA – DELPHI
This morning you will visit the archaeological site with the Sanctuary of the Olympian Zeus; the ancient Olympic stadium and the archaeological museum. Then the tour continues through the plains of Eliad and Achaia and crosses the Corinthian Bay from Rio to Antirrio on a magnificent bridge. Before you arrive in Delphi, the day’s final destination, the tour will make a shortstop in the picturesque mountain village of Arachova.

DAY 5: DELPHI – KALAMBAKA
After breakfast, the day starts with a visit to the Archaeological site of Delphi and the museum. Then you will leave Delphi on an interesting drive through central Greece. Travel through the town of Lamia before arriving in Kalambaka.

DAY 6: KALAMBAKA – METEORA – ATHENS
Today you will visit what is considered to be one of the most beautiful areas in Greece, Meteora, home to some very impressive scenery. The ageless Monasteries containing priceless historical and religious treasures stand suspended between earth and sky, atop huge granite rocks. Then the tour returns to Athens via Trikala, Lamia & Thermopylae; where you will make a quick stop to see the Leonidas Monument. You should arrive back in Athens in the early evening.
